Ingredients

1 egg
3/4 c. shortening
4 Tbsp. light molasses
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Beat eggs and sugar, shortening and molasses.
Add dry ingredients.
Form into small balls about the size of walnuts.
Do not flatten!
Roll in granulated sugar.
Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.
