Track Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    3 qt. water
    1 c. potatoes, diced
    1 c. carrots, sliced
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. green beans (optional)
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. raw rice
Preparation
    Brown hamburger in small amount of cooking oil in frying pan. Place the browned hamburger and all the remaining ingredients in a 6-quart kettle.
    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, until vegetables are done.
