Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 qt. water
    1 tsp. chili powder or to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat.
    Add onions and saute with meat.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Bring to a boil and then cut down to simmer.
    Simmer at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
