English Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. flour
2 pkg. yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
cornmeal
1 1/4 c. milk
1 Tbsp. lard or butter
1 envelope active dry yeast
1/4 c. very warm water
4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. vegetable oil for frying
Preparation

Heat milk and lard in a medium-size saucepan just until lard is melted.
Let cool to lukewarm.
