Ingredients

2/3 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar; add egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Beat well, then gradually add flour.
Mix well.
Make 3/4-inch balls.
Dip in egg whites; roll in walnuts.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Press center with thumb.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes at 350\u00b0.
When cool, fill with colored icing or jelly.
Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen.
