Ranch-Style Sausage Supper - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (15 oz.) cans Great Northern beans
1/2 c. diced carrots
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar
1/2 c. reserved bean liquid
1 lb. cooked smoked sausage
Preparation

In a skillet, saute carrots, celery and onion in 2 teaspoons oil.
Drain beans (reserving 1/2 cup liquid).
Add beans, seasonings and bean liquid to skillet with vegetables.
Stir to combine.
Lay sausage on top.
Cover; simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes to heat sausage through.
Yields 4 servings.
