Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. shredded carrots
    6 c. chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    6 c. milk (4 c. canned, 2 c. bottled)
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese, grated or small cut
    1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter (don't brown much). Add milk and heat (don't boil). Add cheese and all other ingredients.
    Add more salt, if desired.
    Makes 4 quarts. Can be frozen.
