Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 potatoes, cubed
    1/2 onion, chopped
    8 ounces cream cheese, cut into chunks
    1 1/2 cups milk
    3/4 stick butter
    1 can Cream of Celery soup
    1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
    1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cover potatoes with water and cook until tender. Remove from heat and add cream cheese, milk, butter, Cream of Celery soup, Mushroom soup, garlic salt, and salt and pepper. Simmer about 10 minutes. Heat soup again when serving. Add bacon bits, shredded cheese and green onions to individual servings if desired.
