Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    vegetable oil
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 can (16 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained
Preparation
    Heat oil (3 to 4 inches) in deep fat fryer or electric skillet to 375\u00b0.
    Mix remaining ingredients, except corn, with hand beater until smooth.
    Stir in corn.
    Drop by tablespoons into hot oil.
    Fry until deep golden brown, about 5 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve with maple-flavored syrup, if desired. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
