Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening (Crisco shrinks the least)
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix the shortening, flour and baking powder well with a pastry blender or fork.
    Add boiling water.
    Press pastry with hands into a 9-inch pie plate.
    Do not pierce.
    Use unbaked or bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
    Makes 2 shells in smaller pans.
