Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
2 egg whites (unbeaten)
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
vanilla
Preparation

Boil together the sugar and water for 3 minutes. Into a large bowl, place the egg whites and cream of tartar. Add the cooked sugar mixture. Beat 5 minutes. Add vanilla and spread on cake.
