Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 1/4 c. sweet milk
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Blend sugar and Crisco until light.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Blend well after each.
    Add flour and milk alternately.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Makes three large nine-inch layers.
