"No Fuss" Black Forest Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/4 oz.) pkg. devil's food cake mix (with pudding)
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to instructions.
    Spoon batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake as directed.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Turn out and cool completely on wire rack. Slice cake to make 3 layers.
    Place bottom layer on cake platter. Spread with about 1 cup whipped topping and add 1/3 of cherry pie filling.
    Repeat with 2nd, then third layers.
    Chill well before serving.
