Raspberry Bar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oleo
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/2 c. oats
    1 (10 oz.) jar raspberry preserves
    1/4 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Preparation
    Beat oleo with sugar until well blended.
    Add combined flour and baking soda; mix well.
    Blend in almond extract.
    Stir in oats.
    Spread mixture into bottom of greased baking dish (13 x 9-inch); spread with preserves to within 1/2 inch of outer edge of pan.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 22 to 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
    Makes about 20 bars.
