Waverly Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Waverly crackers
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. broken pecans or walnuts
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place Waverly crackers tightly together on a large cookie sheet (13 x 15-inch).
    Put 2 sticks of butter (must be butter) in a saucepan with 1/2 cup sugar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Boil 2 minutes. Cool slightly.
    Do not stir.
    Pour over crackers.
    Cover with 1 cup pecans or walnuts.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
