Creole Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 whole chicken, cut up
1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 c. red wine
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 red and green pepper, sliced into strips
3 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation

In a large skillet, brown chicken in oil until brown.
Remove and set aside.
In same skillet, heat butter.
Saute onion until tender.
Add garlic powder, seasoned salt and seasoned pepper. Return chicken pieces to skillet.
Add remaining ingredients, except rice.
Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes, until chicken is cooked.
Serve over hot white rice.
