Cantonese Style Spareribs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. country style spareribs
1/2 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. water
1 c. orange marmalade
1/2 tsp. garlic powder (1 clove)
2 tsp. grated fresh gingerroot or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
dash of pepper
Preparation

Place ribs, meaty side down, in shallow roasting pan.
Roast in very hot oven (450\u00b0) for 30 minutes.
Remove meat from oven; drain excess fat from ribs.
Turn ribs meaty side up.
Lower oven temperature to 350\u00b0; continue roasting for 1 hour.
Pour orange sauce over ribs; roast 30 minutes longer or until tender, basting ribs occasionally with the sauce.
