Chocolate Mint Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
    1 c. flour
    2 c. 10x sugar
    1/2 c. butter (no alternative)
    1/2 tsp. peppermint flavoring
    6 to 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    6 Tbsp. butter
    crushed candy canes
Preparation
    Beat sugar, butter and peppermint flavoring until smooth. Spread on cake layers.
    Melt chocolate chips and butter.
    Spread on peppermint layer.
    Sprinkle crushed candy cane on top. Refrigerate 15 minutes to set, then cut.
