Filet Mignon A La Cajun - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    7 strips bacon (uncooked)
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients; add rest of ingredients, except bacon and onion.
    Shape into 6 or 7 patties; wrap each patty in bacon, secure with toothpick.
    Brown on both sides in small amount of oil.
    Add chopped onion and 3/4 cup water.
    Cover and cook 30 to 45 minutes, adding water if necessary.
