Kari'S Karamels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 lb. (2 1/4 c.) brown sugar
dash of salt
1 c. light corn syrup
1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter in a heavy 3-quart saucepan.
Add sugar and salt. Stir thoroughly.
Stir in corn syrup.
Mix well.
Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir over medium heat to firm ball stage (245\u00b0).
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Pur into a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Cool and cut into squares; wrap in wax paper.
