Chinese Barbecued Spareribs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 strips fresh pork spareribs, cracked for easy eating
1 medium chopped onion
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. honey or brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ground mustard
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 bay leaf
1 crushed, peeled section garlic
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Layer spareribs in shallow pan; dust with salt and pepper. Bake 30 minutes in
hot (450\u00b0) oven.
Meantime, in saucepan, stir together onion, tomato sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, salt, pepper, mustard, Tabasco sauce, bay leaf, garlic and water.
Bring to boil. Pour over ribs.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 1 hour. Baste twice with pan drippings.
Garnish.
Cut scallions and/or small pickles.
