Moist Golden Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. corn meal
    2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. soda
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix flour, corn meal, sugar, soda and salt.
    Mix buttermilk and eggs.
    Stir buttermilk mixture and butter into corn meal until blended.
    Grease 8-inch square pan. Pour batter into pan.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden on top and wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
