Quiche-A-Roni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. chicken flavor Rice-A-Roni
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. grated Swiss cheese
    1 1/2 c. half and half
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation
    Prepare Rice-A-Roni, using 2 1/2 cups water and cook as directed on package.
    Cool.
    Spoon Rice-A-Roni into a 10-inch buttered quiche pan or pie plate and mold up sides to form a shell.
    In a small frying pan, saute onions and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter.
    Combine onions, mushrooms, cheese, half and half, eggs, nutmeg, salt and pepper; pour into shell.
    Top with bacon.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until set.
    Cool 5 minutes and cut into wedges.
    Makes 6 servings.
