Spicy Pumpkin Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. toasted wheat germ
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1/4 c. milk
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (if desired, for extra flavor!)
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Put all ingredients in a large bowl; mix with electric mixer or by hand. After thorough mixing, spread batter in prepared pan.
Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove pan from oven; place on wire rack to cool for 10 minutes.
Remove loaf from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Tightly wrapped in aluminum foil, loaf keeps well in refrigerator or freezer.
Makes 1 loaf.
