Texas Venison Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground venison
    1/4 c. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 large green pepper, cut in strips
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    3 1/2 c. whole tomatoes
    1 c. tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. cooked kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown venison in 1/4 cup oil.
    Add chopped onion, garlic and pepper.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add chili powder, sugar, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and salt.
    Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    If a thicker chili is desired, stir in 1 tablespoon flour, mixed with 2 tablespoons water.
    Just before serving, add the cooked kidney beans.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
