Beef Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. meaty beef soup bones
    1 1/4 qt. water
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. diced turnips
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Simmer bones in water until meat falls from them, about 3 hours.
    Remove bones from liquid.
    Cut up meat.
    Add vegetables, salt and pepper.
    Simmer until vegetables are tender, about 40 minutes.
    Yield: 6 (1-cup) servings, about 175 calories per serving.
