Red And White Delight Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pkg. strawberry jello
    1 pt. fresh chopped strawberries or 1 small pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    2 ripe bananas, mashed
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix jello according to package directions.
    Mix into gelatin the strawberries, drained pineapple and the bananas.
    Add nuts if desired.
    Place in flat pan in refrigerator until firm, reserving one-half for second layer at room temperature.
    Spread sour cream over first layer.
    Then add remaining mixture.
    Chill until firm. Cut into squares and serve on bed of lettuce.
