Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1 chopped onion
1 c. creamed corn
1 1/2 chili peppers and juice
1 lb. grated cheese
