Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. salt pork, chopped small
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 c. chopped celery
    dash of pepper
    1 large can tomatoes
    2 c. potatoes
    2 (6 oz.) cans clam
    2 bottles clam juice
    2 Tbsp. thyme
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Saute salt pork and onions over low heat until onions are tender.
    Add carrots, celery, pepper, can of tomatoes plus 1 can of water.
    Add potato chunks when vegetables are 1/2 done.
