Plucking Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 (8 oz.) cans biscuits
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Melt margarine in saucepan; add brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, blending well.
    Cut 15 biscuits into quarters and layer in tube pan.
    Pour 1/2 brown sugar mixture over biscuits and sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour, covering with aluminum foil for final 20 minutes baking time to prevent overbrowning.
    Makes 12 servings.
