Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated skim milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to directions.
    Pour 1/2 batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Set rest of batter aside.
    Bake the batter in the 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 18 minutes. Melt caramels and milk together, then stir in pecans. Sprinkle baked part of the cake with chocolate chips, then pour caramel mixture over that.
    Pour remaining batter over top and bake 20 more minutes.
