Soft Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 beaten eggs
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
    Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet and top with chopped nuts or coconut.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
