Old Fashioned Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 c. elbow macaroni (8 oz.)
    2 1/2 c. cold milk
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. grated onion
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
    1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Butter a 2-quart casserole.
    Set aside.
    Bring water to a rapid boil in a heavy 4-quart saucepan.
    Add 1 teaspoon of salt and oil.
    Gradually add macaroni, being sure water continues to boil.
    Cook macaroni, uncovered, until tender, but firm.
    Stir occasionally.
    Drain.
    Place in prepared casserole.
