Holiday Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cans French style beans
3 oz. blanched, slivered almonds
1 can cream of mushroom soup
6 oz. milk
1 can Durkee French fried onion rings
4 oz. mushrooms, wedged (optional)
Preparation

Mix in 2 to 3-quart casserole the well drained green beans, almonds, mushrooms and 1/3 of the onion rings.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and soup until smooth.
Pour the soup mixture over the beans.
Cover casserole and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Remove lid.
Sprinkle remaining onion rings on surface of beans and bake another 10 minutes uncovered.
This recipe is very forgiving of time and temperature.
(Sliced water chestnuts may be substituted for almonds.)
