Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. fresh pork or 1 lb. ham hock
1 bunch turnips
salt
Preparation

Place meat in enough water to cover and simmer until tender. Fresh meat will need 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.
Wash turnip leaves several times; remove stems and cook in meat stock for 1 hour or until tender.
Turnip roots may be added during last 30 minutes of cooking. Just peel and slice.
