1 box Swiss or German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter-flavored shortening
1 bag caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) Toll House morsels
Preparation

Mix cake mix with milk and shortening.
Put 1/2 of mixture in a 15 x 10 x 3/4-inch cookie sheet.
Bake 8 minutes at 350\u00b0.
