Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. unsalted peanuts or cashews
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook corn syrup, sugar and water to 238\u00b0.
    Add butter and peanuts.
    Cook to 300\u00b0 or hard crack stage.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda.
    Stir until foamy and pour quickly onto a buttered cookie sheet.
    Break when cool.
