Apple Crisp(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, well beaten
    4 large cooking apples
    1/3 c. melted margarine
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Sift first 3 ingredients into a bowl; add egg.
    Mix lightly with a fork until mixture is crumbly. Wash, peel and slice apples.
    Arrange in a greased 8-inch square pan.
    Top with crumbs.
    Pour margarine over all.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Bake for 40 minutes.
