Midnight Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. hot water
2 eggs

Preparation

Sift together in mixing bowl the flour, salt, cocoa, soda and baking powder.
Add the Crisco, sugar, vanilla and hot water.
Mix together on low speed.
Then continue beating for 2 minutes.
Add the eggs and beat 1 minute more.
Pour into well-greased 8 1/2 x 11-inch cake pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Watch carefully and don't overbake.
