Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. dry onion soup
    3/4 c. water
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    4 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. taco chips, crushed
    1 bottle Italian dressing
Preparation
    Brown ground beef; drain.
    Sprinkle on onion soup.
    Stir in water; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
    Put everything else, except chips and dressing, in a bowl.
    Spoon on meat mixture.
    Add chips and dressing; mix up before serving.
