Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar, packed
4 egg yolks, reserve whites
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 c. pecans, chopped fine
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together except nuts and egg whites.
Roll dough in balls (sz walnuts).
Whip egg whites slightly with a fork. Dip dough balls in whites and roll in pecans.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 5 minutes; remove from oven and press center of cookie with melon baller, return to oven and bake 5 to 8 minutes more or until done.
Cool and ice with powdered sugar icing.
