Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. thick applesauce
1 tsp. soda
1 c. chopped raisins
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Heat oven to 300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
Bake about 1 hour.
Top with whipping cream, warm or cool cake or with ice cream.
