Lutzen Raisin Rye Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
3 Tbsp. shortening
2 dry yeast pkg.
1 1/4 c. rye flour
3 to 10 c. white flour
2 c. raisins
Preparation

Combine water, salt, brown sugar, molasses, shortening and yeast.
Stir together and let stand 5 minutes or until yeast is working well.
Stir in flours, adding and working in enough flour to form a dough that leaves the sides of the bowl.
Knead it working in raisins until dough is smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise overnight in cool place.
Knead dough and shape into 3 loaves.
Let rise in warm place until dough rises about 1-inch above edge of pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Cool pans 10 minutes.
