Chile Con Carne: Charles Kromas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. suet (lard or vegetable oil today)
    1 1/2 lb. beef, minced
    4 c. kidney beans, cooked or 2 cans kidney beans
    2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
    1 chile pepper or jalapeno pepper (or use both if you live dangerously)
    ground pepper
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Braise suet in pan (or put oil in pan).
    Add garlic, chile pepper and minced beef; simmer for 1 hour.
    Add salt and pepper. Add beans and cook (simmer) until beans are heated through.
