Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. celery
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1/2 c. green onions
    15 oz. can LeSueur peas, drained
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    8 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation
    Thinly slice lettuce and place into a large bowl.
    Chop celery, green pepper and onions.
    Place in layers on lettuce.
    Add peas.
    Mix mayo and sugar together.
    Cover salad completely with this mixture.
    Sprinkle on shredded cheese.
    Add bacon.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 hours.
    Serve cold.
