Congo Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. melted shortening
3 eggs
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Cream together shortening, eggs and sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in nuts and chips. Line a 9 x 13 cake pan with wax paper. Pour into pan (you may have to add a little hot water to make it pour). Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
