White Bean Soup And Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
    2 oz. thinly sliced ham
    2 medium onions, diced
    2 small carrots, diced
    2 celery ribs, diced
    1 Tbsp. dried thyme leaves
    3 (15.8 oz.) cans Great Northern beans (undrained)
    1 qt. can chicken broth
Preparation
    Brown sausage in oil. When brown, remove and cool, then slice. Add ham, onions, carrots and celery to pan. Cook and brown for 8 to 10 minutes. Mash 1 can of beans with fork; add broth and all beans and sausage. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Let it rest for 10 minutes or so, then serve with cornbread.
