Spicy Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 c. cooked rice
    1/2 c. raisins (plump) *
    2 tart cooking apples, cored, peeled and sliced
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook celery and onion in butter until crisp. Stir in seasonings, rice and raisins.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Stir in apples.
    Remove from heat.
    Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with almonds.
