Broccoli And Pasta (Ziti) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch broccoli, cooked al dente
    3 finely chopped garlic cloves
    1/4 c. good olive oil
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 small onion, diced
    Parmesan or Romano cheese to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 lb. ziti
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic, then add broccoli.
    Continue cooking 5 to 10 minutes longer.
    Boil ziti according to package instructions; strain and save 1/2 cup of ziti water to mix with broccoli.
    Combine broccoli and ziti together with freshly ground Romano or Parmesan cheese, along with black pepper to taste.
    For a little bit of color, saute a few strips of red sweet peppers with the onion and garlic (optional).
    Serves 8.
