Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening (part margarine)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour, sifted
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar (for coating)
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon (for coating)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar and baking soda; add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
    Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
    Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
